Husband and Wife music acts are a real testament to what people can do when they are 100% made for each other. I think that making music is entirely personal and it takes a lot to actually find bandmates that you can write with and it flows. So added to that the extra weight of being married to your bandmate is pretty amazing.
Saying that, Arcade Fire do it and Dead Rituals do it, to great effect. Similarly, Loud Forest do it. They have made Alt. Pop tunes for a while and their third album is due out soon.
Think Mount Kimbie, Purity Ring and Hot Chip. There is a really refreshing electro feel that is quite different from what I have reviewed recently and if/when this LA duo come to the UK I’ll be there. Probably with glow sticks.
