Interview // Edge of Desire

Massive guitar fuzz with a pounding bassline, just what you need for a Friday night right?

Edge of Desire hail from Guildford and create huge atmospheric sounds, they bring to mind newer Muse, Radiohead and in vocal style a bit of Wild Beasts – so all round a really tight mix of well thought out and seamless Indie Rock.

I’m a massive fan of the huge guitars with the softer vocals in this track, something that isn’t used nearly enough in new music.

Anyway, onto the interview questioning!

SI // If you could have a band cover your song, who would it be and which track?
EoD // We would love to hear Lady GaGa or Alicia Keys play ‘Know’. Such incredible and powerful voices would bring out so much of the emotion in that song.

SI // How would you know you’ve ‘made it’?
EoD // When we have a crowd sing our songs back to us louder than we can play it.

SI // Where would you most like to play in the world?
EoD // Anywhere but our bedrooms right now haha. But we’d really love to across America.

SI // If you could time travel and write a song that another artist/band released, what would it be?
EoD // A song that I wish I had written is Kiss by Prince. Such a timeless song and if I can write anything that stands the test of time like that has then I’d feel pretty good.

SI // Living or dead, who would you like to add to your line-up or play with?
EoD // Jacob Collier! If on the odd chance he’s reading this. We’d love to work with you.

Check out their debut EP Lost next Friday 5th June on all platforms, if this single is anything to go by, it’s going to be incredible.
