Melancholy Boy // LOUD HOUND

This is a song of many sides.

There are elements of electronic dance, indie pop, and a loud rock drum beat. It’s mixed awesomly, the keys in the breakdown and the drums could be in an Ibiza summer hit. The whole package feels like it should be relaxing but it has a frenzy to it.

Even from the very start it has a Western whistle-woo noise along with taught eastern sounding strings. It all just works.

I’m thinking MGMT, Porcelain Raft and a bit of The Postal Service but with a california chillout vibe.
